Team Bios

  • Cathy Abram Terhune

    Cathy Abram Terhune

    A native of Bloomington, Indiana, Cathy is an operatically trained soprano who studied under Vera Scammon, professor emeritus of voice, at the prestigious School of Music at Indiana University. Cathy performed with several opera companies in the U.S. and Europe. Her favorite roles include: Beth in Aaron Copeland's The Tender Land, Catalina in Guerroro's La Rosa del azafrán, Adele in Johann Strauss' Die Fledermaus, Blondchen in Mozart's The Abduction from the Seralgio, and Linda in Donizetti's Linda di Chamounix. Prior to her marriage to Peter Grey Terhune and their subsequent endeavours, Cathy performed extensively in musicals and revues and was the featured singer with The Van Smith Orchestra.

    As co-founder of PGT Entertainment, Cathy has been responsible for much of its commitment to the highest standards of vocal excellence and is instrumental in the casting of vocalists for the company. In addition to the many valued experiences that PGT Entertainment has afforded, Cathy is most grateful for the Terhune's family, Erick, Tori and Zachary; and most appreciative of the great PGT staff.

     

  • Leslie Willett Mitchell

    Leslie Willett Mitchell

    A Michigan native, Leslie has made Florida her home for over 30 years. She attended the University of Michigan and graduated from Florida International University in Miami, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, specializing in the hospitality industry.

    Leslie brings a wide range of experience to PGT, from the travel and hotel industries to her theatrical experience as a musical director/pianist. Leslie joined PGT Entertainment in 1993, and during her tenure there has been instrumental in the business development of the company to its present status in the industry. Leslie is now the director of all day-to-day operations of the company, overseeing accounting, human resources, and marketing. Married with three sons, she lives in Merritt Island, Florida.


    Rex Berger

    Rex Berger

    Rex heads up the in-house costume department at PGT, overseeing existing costume maintenance, design projects, new builds and out-sourced vendors. His experience allows PGT Entertainment in-house flexibility to deliver the most suitable costumes at a competitive price. He has been a member of the creative staff for over 20 years.

    After receiving his Fine Arts degree from Indiana State University, Rex began his career as Artistic Director for Show Biz, Inc., an international theme park show producer, and also continued a successful career as a professional singer/dancer. He has designed costumes that have appeared on the stages of the world's finest cruise ships, including Seaborne, Silversea, Cunard Line's QE2, Costa, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

    Recently, Rex successfully collaborated with prominent ballroom builders from television's Dancing With The Stars and So You Think You Can Dance, introducing his unique and exciting ballroom designs to the PGT stages.

  • Emmett Murphy

    Emmett Murphy

    Emmett is the Creative Director for 3 Click Media.  His career in media and entertainment spans the New York theater scene, production revue genre, digital media design business and the international cruise line industry. Mr. Murphy focuses on producing revolutionary entertainment, media design and website services.

    As an Associate Producer for Special Productions, Inc., he co-produced live theatrical events for PBS, national affiliates and corporate clients. Mr. Murphy was then engaged to co-produce corporate events with the New York-based Jhada Productions wherein he managed live events for major corporate clients.  Mr. Murphy transitioned into cruise industry entertainment management in 2003 and soon thereafter was engaged by PGT Entertainment as Production Manager and Associate Producer. Emmett has developed a relationship with PGT over the years in various capacities, from directing shows to developing new business, and continues to contribute his creative services to the PGT team.

    Peter Gray Terhune

    Peter Terhune

    A leading producer of Production Entertainment in the cruise and resort industry. Mr. Terhune founded and is executive producer of PGT Entertainment, a cutting-edge entertainment company with projects in television, media, production entertainment and live theatrical events.

    Peter Terhune began his theatrical career in New York City as a consultant to television and film producers. With growing interest in live theatre, Terhune moved to stage management and personal management, as Director of Personal Appearances for Gerard W. Purcell Associates. Terhune then turned his sights to concert promotion; as Vice President of the Charleston, West Virginia based National Shows, he promoted and presented a wide variety of major concert artists and arena attractions.

    Relocating to central Florida, Mr. Terhune served as President of MusicAd, Inc., a division of the dinner theatre chain, Musicana Enterprises, where he designed and developed unique entertainment programs for resorts including the Boca Raton Hotel & Club, Callaway Gardens and the Amelia Island Plantation.

    After his marriage to Cathy Abram, the Terhunes formed Peter Grey Terhune Presents, Inc., now known as PGT Entertainment, which in the 25-plus years since has become a leader in the industry of cruise ship production show entertainment. Peter is a member of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters.
